Defiant Deadbolt Instructions
I am installing a new Defiant deadbolt (and I know this is not a good lock in terms of quality but it doesn't really matter too much for this door). Seriale online subtitrate. The problem is that the instructions say to drill a 1 1/2 inch hole for the deadbolt but I only have a 2 1/8 inch hole saw.

Defiant Locks
I know that older locks used to be in 1 1/2 inch holes and newer ones use 2 1/8 inch holes, so this lock is probably designed to fit in as a replacement for an old lock, but what I'm wondering is can I put this deadbolt into a 2 1/8 inch hole? I don't want to buy a new saw. It's not worth the price I paid for the lock! Will this lock just float around in a hole that's too big or when I tighten up the screws will that hold it in place? History of concurrent engineering. Thanks in advance!
